So This Is Camping

Nola27, a maintenance division robot, was curious about the human experience of leaving a perfectly fine domicile to spend time in a temporary habitation shelter in an uninhabited wilderness. Nola27 logged in to the ship's database, looking for any and all references to the term "camping". She learned that humans indulged in this particular phenomenon as a means of relaxing and de-stressing, that they enjoyed spending time in nature, and that they especially enjoyed the physical act of preparing simple foodstuffs such as "hamburgers" and "hot dogs". Armed with all this knowledge about camping, Nola27 went to the ship's holodeck, punched in her access code, and entered the holodeck area. Nola27 entered the required instruction prompts and pressed ACTIVATE SIMULATION. The steel composite walls vanished; holodeck grid lines were faintly visible, giving way to a piney woods wilderness with a tent, a blazing campfire, and some hot dogs ready for cooking. Nola27 sat down in front of the campfire, roasting a hot dog, captivated by the dancing flames, and felt... relaxed. Perhaps the humans had the right idea.
