Elegant yet monstrous, mesmerizing yet grotesque.

That was how the survivors described her. She emerged only beneath a moonless sky, gliding through the mist with impossible grace. Every movement was refined, almost regal, as though she had once belonged to a forgotten royal court. Then the light would catch her. Curved horns framed a face of haunting beauty. Midnight skin shimmered with iridescent scales. Delicate claws adorned hands that looked capable of both comforting a child and rending stone. Her smile was warm enough to invite you closer... ...until you noticed the rows of impossibly sharp teeth hidden behind it. No one could decide whether she was a goddess or a nightmare. Artists became obsessed with capturing her likeness, though none could ever finish the portrait. They always claimed the same thing—that every brushstroke made her more beautiful, and every glance revealed something more horrifying. She never spoke. She didn't need to. Her eyes carried centuries of loneliness, wisdom, and hunger all at once. Those who fled remembered only terror. Those who stayed remembered only wonder. And those who looked into her eyes for too long... Could never quite recall which emotion they had felt first. Perhaps that was her greatest curse. She was not beautiful despite being monstrous. Nor monstrous despite being beautiful. She was both. Perfectly. Simultaneously. Elegant yet monstrous. Mesmerizing yet grotesque.
