Introducing the Federpelz! (Extra Wiggly Edition)

Designed by Kheira Bionetics as the ideal sapient companion. They are an anthropomorphic species with a fluffy and feathered coat, fluffy and feathered tails, fluffy and feathered canid ears, as well as feathered membrane wings that can sport a multitude of colors and types. They can glide short distances, but their bone density is too high to allow bird-like flight. Rather, Federpelz use their appendages to convey emotion and love. Whether using their ferret-like agility to dance, their Aquila and Pteropus wings to embrace, or their canid tails to display emotion - Federpelz use all parts of their body to convey what they are feeling. There is a secret Federpelz language that only other Federpelz can understand, and was not intended in the original project. It consists of a combination of body movements, chirps, woofs, clicks, and unique motion of their appendages to very quickly relay their emotional state. When speaking in common tongue, they most often use French. If speaking a more English form of Galactic Common, they have distinct French accents. Federpelz sport a combination of Canine, Feline, Mustela, Aquila, and Pteropus genes. This was inspired by the idea of combining every popular companion animal into a single creature, ideally, hitting every single checkbox in the companion consumer market. Indeed, the day of their announcement, orders on the neural-net were such so that it temporarily shut down Kheira Bionetic's servers for an entire day - no small feat in the spacer age. Whether for passion, companionship, or displaying wealth - Federpelz can be found everywhere, even in small tribal communities where Federpelz have escaped or been lost. Federpelz are a very expressive and passionate species, but these ideal companion traits have their downsides. They are not prone to violence outside of feral Federpelz, they are also very easily manipulated and betrayed. Though, once they've set their loyalty to someone - they do not change their minds. Canine and even some influence from Feline genes kick said instincts into overdrive. Notes: I claim all legal rights to the Federpelz species.
