The Frames - Quick Guide

Some on you liked the frames on my Anima test posts, so I thought I'd share how I do it. I'll preface by noting that I found this on accident and played with it a bit until I found something I liked. With even more eyes on it, I'm sure one of you will find even cooler ways to implement these. Comments will be accompanied by numbers for the image I'm discussing > (#) (2) What has made these "sketchy" background borders possible in my experience are [sketchy lineart background, background inside irregular border, outside border] together with whatever you want in said background. (3) Adding characters to this together with the [outside border] above makes them pop in front of the frame. (4-5) You can also add shapes to the borders to change things up. (6-12) For an added sense of depth, you can play with [foreshortening] and actions your characters are performing. (13-20) Experimenting with different artist tags can yield interesting results. (21-26) As seen in the examples 1-20, the model defaults to a white border around the background, but you can add [*color* border] and get cool results! Hope this is helpful and I'm excited to see if anyone wants to try these.

Forgot to mention [sketchy line art background] is not really necessary, it just gave it the rough look. [background inside border] and [outside border] are the ones doing the heavy lifting if you're just interested in having the background framed.
