Valeria Noctis – The Blood Matriarch

Valeria was born more than three centuries ago as the heiress to the powerful Noctis vampire clan. From a young age, she learned that emotions were considered a weakness and that the clan’s survival took precedence over everything else. During her training, she discovered an injured Zubat in the catacombs of the family castle. Defying her parents’ orders, she secretly nursed it back to health. Over the following decades, the Pokémon evolved into Iksbat and became her most loyal companion. When a rival vampire clan attacked Noctis Castle, Valeria and Iksbat fought together against overwhelming odds. Their willingness to die for one another awakened the natural blood resonance. Valeria gained powerful bat wings, a heightened sense of ultrasound, and the ability to infuse shadows with poisonous magic. Decades later, she took on the task of raising the young Mizuki. At first, she viewed her as her successor, but eventually developed an almost maternal affection for her. When Mizuki left the clan, Valeria saw it as a painful betrayal. Seraphine promises her that she will bring Mizuki back. Valeria accepts the offer, unaware that in doing so, she is putting her former student in even greater danger. Her Inner Conflict Valeria loves Mizuki in her own, possessive way.
