A: Azuki

> Youโ€™re listening to the Midnight Hour, Stardust Crossingโ€™s only locally broadcasted late night show. Iโ€™m your host Johnny Rocket, here to keep you company on the road, in the office, or wherever you tune in from. Weโ€™ve got another exciting interview for you tonight with a local legend. Probably the most famous guest we'e had on the show. Please, say hello.

A: Hiya hiya, Hayasaka Azuki here.

> Thatโ€™s right, the Race Queen herself, fresh from her victory last weekend. I hear you have another name on the track, is that true?

A: The newspapers call me the Pink Comet, and the race announcers have picked it up as well.

> You like the name?

A: It does imply that everyone behind me will be eating my dust, so yeah!

> Obviously, youโ€™re a professional race car driver, but whatโ€™s that like actually?

A: Well, it involves a lot of driving.

> I never would have guessed!

A: Right? Surprising. It's less glamorous than you might think though. We do a lot of endurance training for the long races and those racing suits get really sweaty.

> Your photoshoots do give a different impression, I must say.

A: Yeahโ€ฆ to be clear, those weren't my idea. But the fans like them and the pay is pretty good, so it is what it is.

> You put a lot of time into both sides of your work, but what do you do to unwind?

A: I hit the arcade. Fighting games usually, or air hockey.

> Staying competitive off the track too?

A: You could say that. *laugh* I don't know... I feel my best when I'm pushing my limits. I even try to do silly things, like being the first one to finish eating, or carrying all the grocery bags in one trip.

> You ever lose any of these little games?

A: Sometimes. Sometimes I wonder if it annoys people but then I see the girls getting fired up too and it makes me want to try even harder.

> You don't get road rage by any chance, do you?

A: No comment.

> Alright, alright. Any music you blast while driving?

A: Eurobeat. K-pop. EDM. I like high tempos to get my heart racing.

> What snacks do you refuel with?

A: It's hard to beat good french fries. I also drink a lot of energy drinks. I don't have a lot of time to cook so I eat out a lot. Probably too much.

> Does all that driving ever get old?

A: Not at all! The driverโ€™s seat is probably my favorite place in the whole world. Second only to the garage.

> Any achievements youโ€™re proud of off the track?

A: I did beat Mansion of the Dead in a single run before. Had a crowd by the time credits rolled.

> All by yourself?

A: It was co-op, to be fair.

> You have a bestie to back you up?

A: Yeah, Ember is the best. Sheโ€™s good at games, she knows all about cars and other machines. And sheโ€™s always so chill. I feel like she really gets me.

> The two of you ever race each other?

A: Only in Mario Kart. *laughs*

> Anyone who gets on your nerves?

A: Runie, probably. She just doesn't get it. I think she finds normal stuff to be kind of boring. All the girls are supportive though, just so weโ€™re clear.

> Of course, good friends are hard to come by.

A: Yeah.

> You live alone?

A: I have an apartment near the track. No cats or dogs or anything, but I do have a fish tank. It's a lot of work to keep it clean, but I enjoy the process.

> Like a goldfish tank or something more exotic?

A: Tropical. A salt water tank. The fish are so colorful that its relaxing to watch.

> Anything you worry about?

A: Crashing is always a concern. I'm a good driver but there's always situations on a race that are out of your control. Iโ€™ve had a few stalkers too.

> That doesn't sound good.

A: It's okay, I have good security. I pack my own heat too, so they donโ€™t want to mess with me. That's another thing Ember and I have in common. We compete in target practice.

> Let that be a warning to any future stalkers out there. Any goals youโ€™re striving for?

A: Iโ€™ve been really into space stuff recently. I think one day I might want to trade my car for a spaceship.

> Maybe you can join the race to Mars?

A: A whole new circuit. *laughs*

> Looks like time is short, so let's wrap it up. Dream vacation?

A: A nice long road trip with lots of stops.

> Ideal date?

A: I think the arcade is still good. I like to get competitive with my dates. If I win, I have fun. If I lose, well, thatโ€™s kinda hot too.

> And how would you like that hot date to end?

A: Iโ€™ve always wanted to try road head. That or something stupid involving a motorcycle.

> Do I want to ask?

A: No, I don't want you getting in trouble if someone tries it. *laughs*

> Any last words?

A: Open circuit next month, if anyone out there thinks they can take me.

> You heard it here first folks, get out there and practice. Last one, have you ever wished upon a star, and if so, what for?

A: For a chance to prove myself."

Hi Azuki, I've got 3 short questions for you. 1. Is there a specific car brand you like driving in the most? 2. You said your favorite place was the garage. Does this mean you do a lot of maintenance on the car yourself? 3. Since you brought up Mario Kart, who is your go-to driver in the game? (If you want to know, mine's Daisy.)
