When Artemis became the ancient Greek goddess of the hunt and the wild, she was thrilled. There was so much to preside over: hunting, the wilderness, wild animals, transitions, nature, vegetation, childbirth, care of children, and chastity. Yes, Artemis was indeed thrilled.
