I still can't believe I actually agreed to this. When the "Monokuma Day" challenge was first presented to me, my immediate instinct was to reject it out of hand. But the financial incentive was just too significant to ignore. My family had been facing some unexpected financial hurdles, and more than that, I had been eyeing an incredibly expensive, top-of-the-line police training that I knew I could never afford on my own. To secure that future and help out at home, I decided I could endure one highly unusual day of having my life documented by a cameraman named Black.
My alarm blared at 5:00 AM, cutting. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes, gonne to the kitchen sat up, and hugged Muku (my dog). "It's going to be a weird day, boy," I whispered into his fur.
Before the sun was even up, it was time for my standard routine. 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups and 100 squats.. its funny how my hair started to fall after doing it, i focused heavily on my form to keep my mind off the camera lens tracking my movements. Afterward, I headed into the bathroom to take a shower. But Black had to come with me and snapped a photo "Hey! Keep the camera angled up, alright?"
After a quick breakfast, I grabbed my bag and headed to school. Because of the strict school rules, Black had to stay back and couldn't follow me into the classroom.
When the final bell rang, I met up with Yukiko, hoping we could head down to the Samegawa River to train together like we usually do. But Yukiko explained that the family inn was completely booked and she had to head straight back to help out.
Black and I headed down to the riverbank. I wanted to make the most of the filming, so I turned to Black and asked him to capture a photo of a new high-kick variation I had been practicing. "Hey, when you edit this later, can you add some special effects? Like, a glowing green background and some light shining around my feet and fists? It would look so cool!"
