Tengu City, 20XX A city cityscape reduced to scorched earth. Mash Kyrielight of Chaldea, as well as the Faerie Round Table, Rayshifted to this futuristic-like Singularity to recover the Holy Grail, only to encounter all-out hostility. Thankfully, they were rescued by the organization Ratatoskr, who deemed the Chaldean Servants as friendly and were let aboard the Fraxinus airship. In the command room, both parties introduced each other with banter and pooled information to understand the current state of affairs: Issac Westcott, director of the nefarious DEM Industries, had discovered a Holy Grail and used its wish-granting abilities to gather the planet's ambient mana for himself. Combining it with Reiryoku, a power unique to this world's fae called Spirits, he turned himself into a monstrous entity and titled himself as Demon King, ready to cast an explosive spell that would tear reality asunder and remake it into his own image. It was hard enough that Chaldea jumped into a world-ending mission scenario, but that was irrelevant to the present party when they heard DEM Industries stylized themselves after the Arthurian legends and committed atrocities to the world in their name. Fangirl Barghest was outraged as to be expected; however, Morgan was LIVID. For although King Arthur was her enemy, she had some begrudging respect towards the once and future king and would not approve of such attitude taken by those who would even claim to succeed Arthur's beliefs. (Perhaps this is why they were Rayshift compatible...) To Mash's dismay, the Faerie Queen declared command over the Fraxinus as she resolved to squash the pretenders. Buffing the Tam Lin with spells to let them switch fighting between the land and the skies, she scrambled her knights to battle with no time to spare. The Shielder apologized to her hosts for Morgan's actions before heading out. Ratatoskr's combat-oriented Spirits followed suit, not wanting to be one-upped by these unexpected visitors. ________________________________________ In the present moment, Mash engages in battle with a woman calling herself the "strongest Wizard" of DEM and the second-in-command to the director-turned-Demon King. Her enemy, Ellen Mathers, possesses a limited Reality Marble that equips her with a bastardized version of Mash's armor and counterfeits of her friends' weapons from Chaldea. Having no doubt that the Grail gave DEM such knowledge, the Shielder keeps her cool as she glares at eyes of madness and glee amidst explosions of robot parts and laser fire from above. But even so, her face cannot hide her indignation, as she charges to attack for what this woman almost did to Tam Lin Habetrot... "I swear I will not lose to the likes of you."
