This is Evelyn.
She is one of the founders of Aethelgard, and is a survivor of the World Shift. She is a brilliant alchemist and artificer, a front liner and mid-range fighter, and is a capable warlock who can use infernal and abyssal magic (though she seldom does). She is 128 years old, and has been a close friend and ally of the First Witch from even before the World Shift. That's right. She too lived through the end of the world and lived to tell the tale (though there's hardly ever a need to do so).
Most people in Aethelgard simply know her as Evelyn, but when humanity was still fighting back against demons and monsters, she was known by another name — The Warlock. She armed the people with weapons and armor in their fight, and taught them how to make them. She is a pioneer of alchemy in the new world post-shift. She also someone who supported Ray throughout the years, even when sometimes it was to hard to do so. She knew if she did not, Ray would still do what she believed necessary, even at the cost of her own life. Evelyn made sure it never truly came to that.

She is a capable woman who has left her mark in the new history. But much like Ray, she saw a lot, experienced a lot. One can usually tell if someone is from that generation. There's a sort of weariness that suffuses their being. Her body covered in many scars she has gained over the year. One could mistake it for the marks of her long fight — it would surprise many to know that most of her scars she got in a single night, during a blasphemous union. One she would not share. No wonder she smokes.

But there was once a time where she wasn't who she is now. 100 years ago, when modern-day society still thrived. She was an outgoing woman who enjoyed the night life. She was also a chemist and an engineer. Evelyn and Ray still wonder how they ended up as friends at times.
She still reminisces about those days, and still remembers what came after...

The ruins of the old world still stand, a monument of a bygone era, beneath a wounded sky.”

Magnificent! Loved the story and the visuals. The portrayal of what once was. One single night that left her scared forever. The reflection in her eyes as she witnessed the world changing bringing us to Present Day: masterfully created. Bravo! (A+)
