@heihund's recent Dana post, where the "incase" prompt element was used, got me to thinking: Maybe I should create an image using incase. So I did, and here it is. I also put together a story to go with the image.
The current heat wave had eased up a bit, according to the morning TV news weatherperson (if going from 97 degrees Fahrenheit to 93 degrees Fahrenheit is really considered "easing up"). Anyway, off to work I went.
However, tragedy struck at 12:50 that afternoon: the building's A/C system crapped out. Management decided to send everyone home. Management also advised that if the A/C wasn't fixed by regular close of business, the next day would be an unofficial paid holiday.
I thought about going back home, but when I walked past the Kit Kat Club topless joint on Union Avenue and saw a hand-lettered sign reading "Nice and frosty inside!" I stopped and went in.
The Kit Kat Club is a place I often visit. It's got good décor, the kitchen makes great Cubano sandwiches, and there's Penny. Penny's a dancer who's always nice to me; she waves at me when she sees me, she comes over and visits with me between her sets, and she's a toucher (every so often, she touches my forearm with her hand).
This time, when Penny sees me, she goes to the bar area, places an order with the bartender, waits while her order is prepared, and then comes over to me, smiling, and hands me a drink. "I think you'll like it. It really quenches your thirst."
