Wonder Woman knew going into the city was risky. But she had a job to do. The job, though, proved tougher than expected, and Wonder Woman knew it was foolish to continue without a partner. Green Lantern, perhaps? Or maybe the newest member of the Justice League? In any event, Wonder Woman would return and finish what she started.
