Federpelz: Know your morphotypes!

Federpelz come in many unique morphotypes, however there are four primary variants of this genetically engineered species. That being the Blütenfell, Nachtfell, Samtfeder, and Wildfeder. Blütenfell are the most common morphotype. They can be found in any urban or even rural environments. They most dominantly display the all the traits of the Federpelz, with more recessive feline genes. They sport the colorful furred and feathered coats, avian scales on their legs, feathered and furred wings, distinct canid facial features and the ferret-like tail. Blütfell are fascinated by their owners or friends, and will watch their favorite person play a game or engage in a hobby while offering affection and snackies. Blütfell are by the far the most domestic of the Federpelz personality wise. They prefer their friends, family, owners, and ideally - colorful fields and environments, such as museums or flower fields. The Blütfell display beauty, excitement, and expression - like artists. They prefer to speak in French - and when speaking in English - will have distinct French accents. Nachtfell are the nocturnal morphotype. Popular with night owls and those who work late, this Federpelz morphotype, like the Blütfell, has more dominant canid genes and recessive feline genes. They vary from the common morphotypes, sporting more bat-like wings, dark coats with red or purple bioluminescence, distinct red and predatory eyes, and surprisingly warm bodies. They are by far the most passionate and loyal of the morphotypes, rivalling even the Blütfell's loyalty. They don't operate well in groups, and really prefer the company of their one special person - whom they stick to like glue. They won't show affection or interest to any other person besides their favorite, with occasional unnerving speech patterns. "I'll pluck out your eyes, and then mine - so we are the last thing we see of each other forever" comes to mind. While not engineered to have a 'Yandere' personality, it's not uncommon - though there are no records of a Nachtfell actually harming someone. Regardless, if you are a solitary person of the night that likes to keep to yourself - the Nachtfell will fit you just perfectly. They prefer to speak in German - and when speaking English - will have a distinct German accent. Samtfeder are the arctic, or northern morphotype. Unlike Blütfell and Nachtfell, they have more dominant feline and avian genes, with recessive canine genes. Combining the traits of snowy owls and snow leopards mean they have very fluffy and thick fur feather coats. Their bodies are thicker, with layers of fat dependent on their diet. Their wings also tend to be larger and fluffier, despite this - they still retain the ability to glide short distances like all Federpelz. They have cozy and lazy personalities, preferring to lounge around or especially cuddle with their favorite person. While a Blütfell might shower you with affection and energy or a Nachtfell might tell you to get off your ass and walk around, a Samtfeder will be perfectly content simply sitting or laying down on a chair or couch and joining their favorite person for popcorn and TV. When winter comes however, they become excited. Expect many snowball fights, sledding challenges, and snowmen building for the majority of the day. The colder, the better. They are behind the Blütfell when it comes to a domestic personality, but the still are far more domestic minded than a Nachtfell or Wildfeder. They prefer to speak in Russian - and when speaking English - will have a distinct Russian accent. The final most common variant is the Wildfeder. Wild and untamed in personality, this Federpelz Morphotype really isn't for the faint of heart. They are also the most common variant to be found in small tribal communities, finding themselves there through neglect or being tired of their owners. Wildfeder have dominant feline genes, and recessive canid and avian genes. They are distinctly lynx-like in appearance, with athletic bodies and wildcat personalities. They eschew clothing, preferring to be as naked as possible, especially around their special person. They will tolerate tribal clothing to protect their modesty in public though. While not technically disloyal, one should have a penchant for outdoor activities to keep their interest. Couch potatoes and homebodies need NOT apply! However, if their special person regularly spends time outdoors. Hunting, camping, fishing, any kind of sports, hiking, so on and so forth - then they are the perfect variant for you. Expressive, energetic, feral and passionate - a Wildfeder will have absolutely no qualms in sharing their affection, even in the most public of spaces. They speak in Native American languages, most commonly Lakota and Iroquois. When speaking English - their accents vary, but lean towards Native American pronunciation of words. (The language used in the video is Quechua)
