The Best Little Boutique Hotel in Paris

In 1930s Paris, there existed La Belle Rose Rouge, a small boutique hotel in the 11th Arrondissement that offered an interesting service. When a single man checked in at the front desk, the desk clerk would discreetly inquire if the gentleman was interested in having female companionship in his room. If the gentleman said yes, the desk clerk would ask what time in the evening would be convenient. At the appointed time, there would be a knock at the guest's hotel room door, and a pleasant female voice would ask, "Puis-je entrer?" The guest would open the room door, and an attractive young woman, naked from the waist up, would enter the room. She would carry a silver serving tray upon which her ample breasts rested. "Bonsoir, monsieur. Je m'appelle Violet." Violet would set the serving tray down on the bed, walk out to the hallway, and wheel in a room service cart containing a light evening meal and a bottle of wine. After setting the food and the wine on the room's central mahogany table, Violet and the guest would sit down and eat. When they finished eating and drinking, Violet would place the plates, silverware, leftover food, and silver serving tray into the room service cart and set it out in the hallway. Violet and the guest would then shed their clothes and get passionately intimate. When Paris was officially occupied on June 14, 1940, La Belle Rose Rouge closed its doors permanently. The hotel's owner and staff decided they would have nothing to do with the enemy and would dedicate themselves to joining the Resistance and fighting for a free France.
