@artfx85 To your reply in the original Post: I was in discussions that developed a completely different direction. They were more like "Art does not need to have a creator. Only the appreciation of the viewer makes it art" And I was so happy that none of you reasoned in this direction. Fuck this nihilistic viewpoint! Art needs a creator. And here, that can be the one who prompts.

That’s always been my stance on here. I personally don’t consider myself an artist by any means, I’m simply generating images based on a prompt. I would never use any images for profit or commercial means. It’s a fun hobby , but definitely not a substitute for real art.

I left my point of view somewhat open and hoped for your uninfluenced opinion. Reading across, not all did define their views very specifically (no one asked you to!), but I think I can sum it up to two major points: - I know what I like and I like it here - AI is not a creator, but a tool of the one who prompts and we can find art here I was surprised that you all were roughly of my opinion. Let me add one more thing. I think it is in the very heart of arts that is creates something new. AI combines only things it has learned from existing, and sometimes in a way we did not expect, but it cannot create something that has not been there before. So. The prompter is the artist. If he uses his brush well. Exept for Bobby. Bobby created the opposite of art.
