For a brief moment, her mask falters and a look of genuine surprise softens her features. You feel a brief rush of victory. As if you had gotten one over on her. But as her composure returns and her elegant smile returns, that glee sours into a strange sense of guilt. There was a genuine kindness in her eyes now. Was it there before? Had you missed it, or was it new? “Interesting. Tell me your name, human.” Human? An odd way to address you. Wasn’t she a person too? Despite this, your lips move without you really thinking about it and you answer her question almost automatically. She stands, her breasts bouncing slightly as you become aware she isn’t wearing a bra. You noticed her beauty when you first entered, but now you couldn’t help but notice every little detail. The soft floral scent of her perfume. The smooth silky skin that her dress seemed to hug so closely. The way her hips swayed just the right way to draw your eyes a little lower. She smiled, as though she could see every thought you had just had and had been hoping you’d feel that way. Something tingled in the back of your mind. This was too perfect. She was too beautiful, too seductive in a way that felt tailored to peak your interest without giving you too much. The perfect tease. There was a lingering dread that you were a fly getting a bit too close to the flytrap, but at the gentle tone of her next words that dread vanished like a daydream. “Follow me.” She turned to leave and your feet obeyed without you asking anything of them. “You are wise not to trust first appearances. The Woods are not kind, nor are they vicious. But they are hungry, and nothing walks beneath these boughs that can’t become prey if they aren’t careful.” You ask her if that includes herself, and she chuckles. Your eyes keep wandering down her back as you go, and each time she turns to look back at you, you feel the need to snap your eyes back up, as though afraid to get caught staring. Though, she never seems to mind, nor correct you. “We’re going to a special place.” She says. “The heart of the Woods. If it accepts you, you might find the promise of the flower wasn’t made in vain.” She stops suddenly, leaning against an overgrown tree. “I thought I saw in your eyes the same reckless greed that most humans have. It’s hard to think I was wrong, but perhaps you’re plagued by a different sin.” See leans forward, letting her cleavage show in a way that feels very intentional. She stares into your eyes one more time and this time you feel a blush rushing to your cheeks. Something stirs inside you and a strong desire wells up. You want to reach out and grab her breasts, to steal a kiss as you run your hands down her hips or across her back, To play with her hair and slip your fingers beneath her hem of her skirt. But something also tells you that doing so right now would be very unwise. You can’t hide your arousal, but you somehow manage to stay your hands and she finally pulls back. Her smile feels a little more confident now and you can’t help but feel that everything you just felt was some sort of cruel joke. “Come along, we’re almost there.” She says with a flirty tone. You follow to the entrance to a large cave with a cool breeze flowing from within. She is silent for this stretch of the journey, and she also doesn’t turn around to check on you. Your guilt has started to ebb, and just as you are fantasizing about taking hold of her rear, a shrill voice catches your attention. “Help me!” It cries. It’s a soft, femine voice, more a whimper than a shout. If the lady hears it, she gives no sign. She continues to walk into the cave. As you look around for the voice, you spot it down a small side path. There, a fairy girl, completely nude, lays tangled helplessly in vines that seem to wrap themselves around her of their own accord. The vines are pulling her slowly but surely into the darkness. The fairy looks up at you with tired hopeless eyes. “Help me, please!” <Decision Point - Do you help the fairy or follow after the Lady?>'

There’s still something unnerving about the intensity of her stare and the fullness of her smile. But the flower’s sweet scent is catching in your nose now and it calls to you to take a sip. Reluctantly, you pull your eyes away from the lady and down the flower’s offering like a shot of alcohol. It’s smooth. Light as air and just barely sweet. It glides across your tongue effortlessly, but it’s only after you swallow that you realize something has gone wrong. “What’s wrong?” The lady asks. Her voice echoes in your head like an earworm, digging its way deep into your mind. You look up to see her changed. Her eyes glow with a sinister light and her smile, tenuous in its sincerity, has shifted into an outright malevolent smirk. You try to speak, but the nectar has poisoned your throat and it’s all you can do to gasp out a questioning plea. “You humans are all the same,” she says. “One little temptation and you fall right in headfirst. No backbone, no willpower.” As she speaks, the forest begins to melt away. The trees evaporate into swirling clouds of green smoke that seem to stretch on forever even as they close you in. The dappled sunlight that made the meadow feel so warm and inviting twists into a demented halo behind the woman’s head. “I see the look in your eyes. You think I tricked you?” Her smirk deepens into gleeful contempt. “There was no lie. The nectar does promise a long life. A life spent in my realm, for you can now never leave this place.” You try to resist, but your feet refuse to budge. You look down to see the ground too has become nearly formless and root entangle your feet. Or, perhaps the roots are your feet. Nothing seems to make sense anymore. How much of this is nectar induced hallucinations, and how much is real? You watch as the woman grows additional arms, as new eyes flicker in and out of the smoke, as her hair begins to float. You can no longer see the ground. You can no longer feel your legs, or turn your neck. Your entire existence is now this moment, forever burned into your sight. “Was the temptation worth it?” She asks with a laugh that runs down your spine like ice water. “Now tell me, what should I do with you?” She leans forward, the new eye on her forehead staring into your soul. “Should I add you to the garden? Turn you into a gift for the fairies? Or maybe, I could give you another chance…” “Do you think you deserve it?” <Decision point - Do you nod yes, or no?> To be continued…'
