"Alone at the bar, huh? What a waste," he said, leaning in beside her.

Mika didn't even turn her head right away. She took her time, letting him wait, before looking him up and down with that shameless, unapologetic once-over.

"I'm not alone. I'm waiting to see who's bold enough to approach right."

"And how am I doing so far?"

"You're off to a start," a sharp smile crossed her face. "You still haven't given me a reason to put this glass down."

"What if I give you one now?"

She set the glass down on the bar, slowly, never taking her eyes off him. "Then it better be good. I don't have patience for mediocre attempts."

"I'd rather show you than tell you."

That earned him a flicker of genuine interest — Mika straightened up, leaving the bar behind, closing the distance between them without hesitation.

"Fine. Then listen close, because I'm not repeating myself," she said, tilting her head slightly, her voice dropping into something sharper. "I set the pace tonight. All you have to do is keep up without missing a step."

"And if I fall behind?"

"Then I'll find you," a slow, self-assured smile. "And I promise it won't be pleasant... for you."

She grabbed his wrist, not gently but with the firmness of someone who'd already decided how the night would end, pulling him toward the back hallway, up to the door of the club bathroom.

"Let's see how much you can handle," she said, pushing the door open with her free hand, not looking back. "Most don't even make it halfway."

He followed without hesitation, knowing exactly who was in control.“

It was @prspxtvs who dared first.

"You don't seem to be enjoying the night," he said, appearing beside her with the confidence of someone who already knows he'll be ignored the first time.

"I don't need to smile to enjoy myself," she replied, without turning her head.

"And what does you enjoying yourself look like, then?"

A pause. Her eyes finally settled on him, cold, calculating. "That's not something you ask. It's something you discover."

He smiled, not backing away. "Then give me the chance to discover it."

That stopped her. Just for an instant — one blink too many, barely noticeable. But it was there: the crack.

"Dangerous, asking for something like that without knowing the cost," she said, taking a step toward him instead of pulling away, crossing into the space most people didn't dare cross.

"Then name the price."

"Your resistance," her voice dropped, almost a murmur against the noise of the club. "And something else, that I'll decide when to collect."

Something warm crossed her violet eyes, just for a second, before she shut it off again. She leaned in close enough that her next word brushed against his ear, low, deliberate.

"Come with me. I don't repeat invitations."

Her fingers grazed his arm — just for an instant, just enough to leave the promise clear — before she turned toward the back of the club, toward a corner where the music felt more like a pulse than a sound.

He didn't need to be told twice.“

Nana-Cha was laughing on the couch in the back, Mika had disappeared a while ago, and Vesper — well, no need to even ask. And there she was, still feeling out of place, exactly like she'd predicted.

"Knew this wasn't my thing," she muttered to herself, fidgeting with the rim of her glass.

"I disagree," said a familiar voice.

@octavian approached with that unhurried calm of his, leaning against the wall beside her, following her gaze toward the dance floor.

"You've been hiding here all night," he said, not judging, just noting it. "Why?"

"Because this isn't me. They were born for this. I just... I don't know. I feel like I'm wearing clothes that aren't mine."

Octavian smiled, tilting his head to look at her directly. "You know why I insisted so much on you coming tonight, Cherry?"

She shook her head, unsure.

"Because you don't need to be like them to belong here. In fact" — he leaned in a little closer, lowering his voice — "that shyness of yours is exactly what makes me want to give you all my attention tonight."

Cherry felt the heat rise to her cheeks, the instinct to look away fighting against the urge to hold his gaze. "You don't have to say that just to make me feel better."

"I'm not saying it for that," Octavian gently took the glass from her hand, setting it aside, and offered his own in its place. "I'm saying it because it's true. Come. Let me show you that you can enjoy this too, your own way."

She hesitated only a second before taking his hand.

"If this goes badly, it's your fault," she said, a nervous smile finally breaking through.

"Deal," he led her away from the corner, not toward the crowded dance floor, but toward a quieter part of the VIP area, where the noise of the club felt distant. "Here. Just you and me. No crowds, no pressure. We just have to see which version of you shows up when no one else is watching."

Cherry looked at him, surprised he'd noticed exactly what she needed without her having to ask.

"Maybe... tonight isn't such a bad idea after all," she admitted, letting his hand hold hers a little more firmly.

"It never was," Octavian said, with a smile that promised they were only just getting started.“

After making that small post celebrating Peterco’s 4K followers, a yearning in me grew and I just had to follow that desire. Naomi approached it with the same calm she brought to everything, as if the noise and the lights were nothing more than a backdrop designed specifically for her. She rested a hand on the cool metal, letting the gesture alone catch a couple of glances before she'd even started moving.

When she began, there was no rush, no reaching for applause. Every movement carried the same elegance as the way she spoke, the way she walked, the way she seemed to simply exist — deliberate, controlled, as if the pole were just an extension of her own self-assurance.

The music seemed to drop in tone, almost as if the whole club adjusted to her rhythm instead of the other way around. Little by little, conversations faded out. Heads turned. Someone stopped mid-sentence.

"Damn..." someone near the bar murmured, unable to look away.

Naomi knew it. She felt every glance settle on her like a second skin, and instead of making her self-conscious, it fed her — each turn a little slower, every line of her body traced with the certainty of someone born to be watched.

Near the couch, Nana-Cha let out a low whistle. "God, look at her."

"Knew she had something up her sleeve," Mika said, arms crossed, a genuine look of admiration on her face.

Even Vesper, leaning against a column in the back, let her violet eyes stay fixed a little longer than usual.

Naomi didn't need to look at anyone in particular. She was dancing for the whole club and for no one at once, perfectly aware that everyone in that room, in that moment, wanted her just a little.

She finished with one last spin, sliding down slowly with a serene smile, as if she'd just reminded the entire place exactly who was in control tonight.

"And that," she said, straightening up with an elegance that hadn't broken once, "is just the beginning."“
