Chapter 7: “Meet the nurse”

A smokey female voice sings “Bad Girl Blues” ⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️ In a stinky and stale bedroom the darkness is pierced with the glow of the Police IntraCom. CONVERSATION IS HEARD OVER IMAGES: - (Drowsy female voice) “Hello…?” - “Jennings, we just got a report from County Hospital. A man admitted just last night fled a few minutes ago as soon as he woke up. I need you to go there right now and talk to the nurse who was in charge. I’m sending the report over the Com right now” The man hangs up finishing the call abruptly. - (faintly) “…yes, sir” The woman takes a deep breath as she drops the phone off to the side. Gets up leaving behind her dry stains on the sheets. Goes to the window. - (To the pale sun) “I wonder if you need coffee too…” She brushes the whiskey breath from her teeth and gets ready. As she enjoys a small breakfast she goes over the report. It talks about an injured man admitted last night into the ER. Report said: Body completely injured. Scratches resembling large feline marks. — The man was completely unconscious when admitted but fled a few hours later as soon as he woke up. The nurse attending him said the man was talking in his sleep, terrified. No one else but the nurse had contact with him — I need to talk to the nurse and find out what she knows. - (Imitating Commissioners rusty voice) “Could be nothing, could be everything!” She leaves her apartment and walks through the cold streets of HornyTown. HOSPITAL - MOMENTS LATER. - “Josephine, I’m sorry to interrupt you but there is a police lady at the front desk looking for you” - “Oh, ok… emm, sure. Let me just finish taking care of this last patient and I’ll be right there” ⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️ Next Chapter: “Nurse Josephine”
