Not knowing what to expect nor what was going on, ready to fight for his life if needed to. He thought he was gonna face a regiment but instead something FAR WORSE awaited him: General Otomangue. IMAGE 3 - “Do you know who I am?” - “Yes ma’am! You’re General Norma Otomangue, highest ranking officer on the island.” - “Correct. That means I can mop the floor with your rank if I so choose to.” - “Yes, ma’am!” IMAGE 4 - “Do you know WHY you are here?” - (Hesitates to answer) “No, ma’am.” - “Well, I think you do.” (A PAUSE) General Otomangue takes a deep breath and without ever taking her eyes off her pray she stands up, like a lioness ready to attack. “What do you know about Agent C-13?” He hesitates to answer. - “Agent…C-13?? ---- She… she is a highly trained, highly skilled element of the …” IMAGE 5, 6, - “AGENT C-13 IS A $250 MILLION DOLLARS KILLING MACHINE!! THAT’S WHAT SHE IS!! NOT A FUCK TOY FOR A POOR LIGHTHOUSE KEEPER LIKE YOU TO HAVE FUN WITH!!!!” - “I understand, ma’am.” IMAGE 7 - “NO YOU DON’T!!!! NO - YOU - DON’T UNDERSTAND!!! You didn’t talk much because you were too busy fucking!!!” He lowers his gaze. <A HEAVY PAUSE> He doesn’t know what to say and General Otomangue knows there is nothing left to be said except for the final blow, which she was about to deliver. She reaches for a document. Reads: IMAGE 17 - “Officer Joseph E. McCain. 30 years of uninterrupted active duty. Assigned to the Island as main technician 12 years ago. You have an unbelievably clean record except for that one time you were late. You were 30 minutes late to your post the day after your wife’s funeral.” - “Yes ma’am. And for that I’m sorry.” General looks deeply into his eyes. - “ I can see WHY she choose you.” - “What…..?” That last statement comes as a bit of a surprise to him. General puts the document down. Starts walking towards him and pulls a chair in front of him at a near by desk. IMAGE 18 - “Officer McCain, what I’m about to show you is extremely classified. Only a handful of people have access to this information but I believe you MUST see it to understand. Sit down.” He does. She points at the file on the desk. - “That file contains information that will help you understand WHY Agent C-13 acted the way she did. You will also understand why, right after you are done reading that document, you will be arrested and taken DIRECTLY to a helicopter which will take you to an undisclosed location where you will spend the rest of your life. You are never to come back to this island and never - EVER - to get back in touch with Agent C-13 or anybody from this operation.” IMAGE 19 - “What?!” - “Let me make something very clear: You have done NOTHING wrong. This will NOT appear on your record nor will it ever be discussed outside this very room. I AM SURE that once you read those files you will understand why you must be plugged OUT of this equation.” His eyes widen with confusion. What was going on? Why was it necessary for him to be removed from station? - “If I’ve done nothing wrong, then why must I be …” - “READ!!” She cuts him off sharply. - “Shut up - and read!” He reluctantly grabs the file. The file tag reads: Strand 11. - “Strand 11?” He asks. - “READ!!” She demands. IMAGE 20 As officer McCain opens the folder and sees the first images his eyes widen with surprise. Almost with horror.
