After Ash obtains the Glacier Badge in the next arena, the friends are now on their way to Blackthorn City. In the forest there, they experience a new adventure. Ash, Misty, Brock, and Crystal seek out the lake whose waters can heal Electric-type Pokémon. When Team Rocket tries to steal the crystal that causes this, Zapdos tries to stop them, which they ultimately manage to do with the help of the trainers. To calm Zapdos, it must not only discharge its pent-up energy.
