Enter The Kwaruss: Scourge of The Galaxy

The kwaruss are a parsitic lifeform within my sci-fi campaign setting, Shattered Stars. They are capable of rapidly infecting host bodies and causing morphological changes in rapid succession. Kwaruss mostly operate off of a hivemind intelligence, but stronger hosts are often granted a level of independance to reduce the strain of command on the overmind. These are some of those more individualistic kwaruss bodies, known as invaluss. The kwaruss are a true scourge upon the galaxy, with one of the only systems they have yet to become rampant in being the Tassith system, where most of the planet and moon's inhabitants possess an entirely inexplicable immunity, or strong resistance to kwaruss infectrion. Only one of the native species of Tassith was not immune to the kwaruss incursion, so the kwaruss have established a colony of sorts in the ruins of the obliterated capital city that once belonged to the denex people. The great parasite lives deep within the depths of the ruins and wages constant war against the native of Tassith and its moon, Rel Torr. Despite the threat they pose, few invaluss gain enough free will to seperate themselves from the overmind, leading to the birth of some of the most unique people in the entire galaxy. The particular invaluss in this image set are preatorian class kwaruss, orignially mutated and formed for direct combat and espionage.
