The heavy rain nearly drowned out the soft whimpers of a pregnant young woman wearing a black veil. Even a few higher beings had come to mourn the loss of BetterWaifu’s greatest close-up artist. They were saying goodbye to BlackHairedStudent. His death was an unfortunate accident during the latest police raid on his basement—his stuffing had to be collected from throughout the entire building’s air ducts. One lonely figure watched from afar beneath an old oak, disappointment clear on her face. “Stupid Black,” she muttered. “You were supposed to bring me ultimate despair. I was a fool to think you could succeed where so many others failed.” She turned and disappeared into the shadows. The group lingered until a blinding flash lit up the sky, followed by roaring thunder. A muffled sound came from the grave. Suddenly a blue flame erupted from the soil, growing into wild cackling laughter. Immense power surged through me as it touched my chest, filling my mind with vivid close-up visions. “Hahaha… that takes me back.” Wings sprouted from his shoulders and he started to rise. As I felt our time grew short, I finally managed to speak. “Thank you for everything, Black! I’ll never forget your sacrifices. I promise to keep this power in check!” “Don’t think of this as goodbye, my friend. I’ll be watching from above—keep everyone entertained! Please tell Nagatoro I’m sorry I couldn’t keep my promise. If his systems are functioning even minimally, he should have detected the EMP. He noticeably shifts into a defensive stance, waiting for me to make a careless mistake. The exchange continues: attack, dodge, counter. He’s exploiting the fact that he doesn't tire—damn it. "HANA! TAKE COVER!" A voice cuts through my concentration just as a burst of gunfire hits the Boomer. Daley—that fool—followed me... The machine shifts its attention and targets Daley.
