She planted the ice staff into the ground. A ring of jagged ice spikes erupted outward, claiming the courtyard as her first territory.

“If it’s war you want, Ariel,” she called out into the howling wind, her voice carrying across the fjord with crystalline clarity, “then I will let it all go.”'

She tilted her head back, eyes glowing an unnatural aquamarine. Then she activated her water magic.
The sea answered with savage joy.

She threw her head back and screamed into the tempest, voice carrying over the thunder with raw, seductive power:

“I am Ariel, daughter of the sea!

The lightning bends to me.
