AoT: A.R.A. (Assault Recon Android)

Mee the ARAs. These are just a few of the Assault Recon Androids, who are primarily designed around edani aesthetics, as well as using the intact brains of fallen edani soldiers as the central processor. Edani bioengineers found that their species brain could rather easily be prompted to function again after death, with some chemical persuasion and just the right amount of electrical probing. This led to the construction of the ARAs, which were designed with the objective of being sent to the kwaruss-ravaged quarantine zones of Tassith, and attempting to destroy the infection within. Despite their advantage over the parasites, being their synthetic bodies, the ARAs eventually became more and more unreliable, as many of them began to display aberrant behaviour, even developing personalities and free will, though no sign of the edani who's brains were used to create the ARAs was ever recorded. Eventually the ARA program was shut down and the remaining ARAs were either left in military service, under close supervision, or they went AWOL, abandoning their roles and tasks, for any number of reasons unique to each individual. It is estimated that around 5,000 ARAs are still functional on the planet.
