She knew if she did not, Ray would still do what she believed necessary, even at the cost of her own life. Evelyn made sure it never truly came to that. She is a capable woman who has left her mark in the new history. But much like Ray, she saw a lot, experienced a lot. One can usually tell if someone is from that generation. There's a sort of weariness that suffuses their being. Her body covered in many scars she has gained over the year. One could mistake it for the marks of her long fight — it would surprise many to know that most of her scars she got in a single night, during a blasphemous union. One she would not share. No wonder she smokes. But there was once a time where she wasn't who she is now. 100 years ago, when modern-day society still thrived. She was an outgoing woman who enjoyed the night life. She was also a chemist and an engineer. Evelyn and Ray still wonder how they ended up as friends at times. She still reminisces about those days, and still remembers what came after... The ruins of the old world still stand, a monument of a bygone era, beneath a wounded sky.'
