Today is National Lace Day. Decided to bring back this character from my "Loyal Service" post. May Chamberlain is a woman hired by Camilla Grey, a woman who has spent large sums of money in order to live out her fantasies of being a noblewoman, to be her maid. Although May sees herself as just a normal housekeeper, she puts up a more graceful, dutiful front in order to placate her Camilla. Although she finds Camilla's fantasies a bit silly, she is all too happy to keep quiet and play along, keeping whatever comments she may have about it to herself.
