Sayo – The Spirit Who Refused to Be Forgotten

Sayo once lived as a young priestess in a remote shrine. She was a kind but very shy woman who took special care of lonely and abandoned people. After her death, her soul remained bound to the shrine for some unknown reason. For decades, she watched as people came and went. Although she longed for company, she hardly dared to make contact with the world of the living. Most people were afraid of her. One night, an injured Psiana appeared at the shrine. Unlike humans, it could clearly see Sayo’s ghostly form. Sayo took the Pokémon in and, for the first time in many years, began to speak to someone again. When the ghost hunter Akari tried to seal Sayo away, Psiana stepped in front of her to protect her. Their shared fear of losing one another awakened the Resonance Crystal. Through her psychic resonance, Sayo can sense emotions, touch memories, and briefly take on a more solid physical form.
