👻 The Bride of the Misty Woods
So, sit down, kids, and listen to this true story on SFW Monday:
They say that on Halloween night, at precisely three o’clock in the morning, a bride appears in the old forest...
Many years ago, a young waifu was to be married. But her groom never arrived at the altar.
They found him the following morning, lying among the trees, surrounded by thousands of white lilies. The bride refused to accept what had happened.
Every year, on the very night and at the very hour her beloved had passed away, she returned to the place where he had been found. Until one night, she never returned...
She was never seen again.
Some say she was responsible for what happened to her groom and fled. Others say she went mad with grief and was torn apart by wild beasts. No one knows the truth.
Since then, whenever the clock strikes three and a thick mist creeps between the trees, thousands of white lilies bloom upon the forest floor.
And among them stands a woman in a black bridal veil.
In her pale hands, she holds a single white lily she picked.
She does not move. She does not weep. She only waits.
Should you dare approach her, she will slowly raise her head and whisper: My darling… you've finally come.
Then she will offer you the flower. Never take it.
For the moment your fingers touch its petals, shadowy figures will emerge from the mist behind you. The ghosts of every man who accepted her flower before you.
And when the bride finally smiles, you will realize that you haven't missed your own wedding.
So, if you ever find yourself wandering through the woods at three in the morning on Halloween night, and you start seeing white lilies blooming beneath the trees…
Do not stop.
Do not look back.
And whatever you do… …never take the flower, and never answer when a woman's voice whispers behind you:
Do you take me to be your lawfully wedded wife? For in those woods and lilies, the wedding vows are forever... 👻
