Monsterification Contest - Amber
My submission for the challenge. Many thanks and huge shoutout to @terror2 and @nullink for the challenge. This was fun!
The Birth of the Marionette Necromancer
The double doors of the forgotten mansion groaned under Amber’s touch, bathed in the eerie red light of dusk. Carrying her frilled parasol, she stepped across the cracked marble threshold into a sprawling library lost to time. Whispers of ancient secrets had drawn her here, but nothing prepared her for what lay hidden deep within the shadows.
Navigating the labyrinth bookshelves, her eyes fell upon a heavy tome lying open on a weathered wooden pedestal. Irresistibly drawn to it, Amber reached out, resting her gloved hand near the arcane circle. Intricate runes pulsed against its parchment pages.
The moment her fingertips brushed the paper, the sigil burst into green violent, blinding light. Cold, unearthly energy surged through her veins. Her muscles locked as unseen, invisible strings snapped onto her wrists, ankles, and spine, yanking her upright. Flesh transformed into smooth, jointed wood; her eyes flared with a feral, glowing green flame as a manic grin stretched across her face. Her humanity dissolved, replaced by a terrifying, dark puppet master controlled by the spell itself.
And that day, the Marionette Necromancer was born...
With her transformation complete, Amber discovered a dark power surging within her. She was not merely a marionette; she was a sovereign of the dead. Glowing ethereal strings snapped out from her fingertips, tethering themselves to the fallen souls and lurking shadows throughout the mansion. With a flick of her wrists, the dead rose around her, moving in stiff, synchronized wooden jerks, completely obedient to her every command.
Centuries passed, but Amber never aged, never rested. Holding her parasol, she wandered the halls of the overgrown manor and the surrounding misty woods, a myth haunting lost travelers. Anyone foolish enough to cross her path was caught in her emerald web, bound forever as a puppet in her eternal theater.

P.S. If anyone notices a difference, Amber is being updated a little. She was the first OC I created and at the time there were limitations on my knowledge, tokens for SDXL models and credits. I'm bringing her closer to my original idea for her, but more of that on another post.
