AI art 'Mega Tokyo 2032 AD File 3: The Shadow Squad Part 3' with user description 'Case File 3: The Shadow Squad Part 3 Classified: For Official Use Only "All right, I understand. Thank you for your report, Sergeant Amano. How are Ms. Watanabe and the shop owner—what was her name again?" "Ms. Stingray, sir. Both are doing well; they have no injuries, just shock from the events," I reply. The whole affair affected Akiko more deeply than I let on, but that’s not relevant here. Still, I worry about her getting dragged into this mess or—worse—getting hurt. It’s bad enough that I’m on Genom’s hit list; she doesn’t deserve this. I’ll do everything in my power to prevent it! The Chief’s voice snaps me out of my thoughts. "The report isn't the only reason I called you all here today. Lieutenant Yamamuras undercover mission provided the evidence we needed." Ryu? My heart skips a beat at the mention of his name. Images of happier times flash through my mind. "Sergeant Amano? Are you listening?" The reprimand pulls me back to reality. "Good! What do recent events have in common?" he asks, concluding his thought. "The OMS!" he answers. OMS—the very name sends a chill down my spine. The mission where we were betrayed—the one that left me with this scar—was all about securing the OMS. "Sir, do we know more about it now, and how the betrayal happened?" "Yes! The acronym OMS stands for 'Over Mind-Control System,' and it allows for the mass control of Boomers. What connects the Aqua City incident with the explosion at the Genom lab?" the Chief asks the room. "Aqua City was officially destroyed by a malfunction in a USSD laser satellite, and the cause of the Genom lab explosion hasn't been determined yet," I reply. "And this is where Ryu's information comes into play. Shortly before the destruction of Aqua City, a Genom helicopter was on the scene, as was the mercenary group known as the Knight Sabers. Before the satellite fired, the helicopter had moved away but was still hovering over Pier 17." "Wait a minute!" I interrupt the Chief, trying to grasp what both the body and the Knight Sabers have to do with this. "That means the man's body..." "Exactly—the body of the man who tortured you, Sergeant, was planted there," the Chief continues. "Just before the lab exploded, a communication with the USSD satellite was recorded. This time, it was a precision strike that destroyed the lab. Without the recording, the satellite's use would have gone unnoticed; in this instance, too, the signal originated from inside the facility. This leads to the conclusion that an attempt was likely being made to cover up illegal weapons testing. Sergeant Amano, does the name Roy Chang ring a bell?" he asks. "Yes, his wife Irene was murdered... just a few days... later by the Boomer bodyguard... Amber." The realization of the full scope of events makes me pause. "Exactly! Ryu was able to provide the missing evidence linking all of this to that man. Brian J. Maison!" he concludes. I knew it—and finally, we can prove it! "Sir, how do we proceed?" "We were also able to identify the mole; his codename is Adam." Adam? I clench my fists, trying to keep my anger in check. "I am authorizing an operation against the facility where Maison is located! Your objective is to meet up with Lieutenant Yamamura and arrest Maison and Adam! The Knight Sabers will also be involved; they’ll create a diversion. Sergeant, I know you’ve worked with them before, so that shouldn't be a problem. Since our objectives overlap, hiring them wasn't difficult. That’s all—get ready; you move out at 0100!" Shadow Squad responds in unison with a resounding "Yes, sir!" We leave the briefing room and head to the armory; there is only an hour and a half left until the mission begins. We suit up in our full-body armor and mentally prepare ourselves for what lies ahead. I look into the faces of my comrades—Chris, Parda, Terror2, and the twins, Warm and Ice. I trust each of them with my life; now that we are finally back together, nothing can stop us—neither Genom nor Maison! Just you wait—your ass is mine, Maison, and you’re going to pay for everything! Ryu, I’m finally going to see you again; I’ve waited so long for this, and I allow myself a brief moment to bask in the memories. You reached the end of this file. AI art 'Mega Tokyo 2032 AD File 2: The Chang Case Part 1' with user description 'Case File 2: The Chang Case Part 1 Classified: For Official Use Only Two days have passed since the explosion. The fire department has now brought the blaze under control. The building is a genome research facility. We don't yet have any information about what was being worked on there. The corporations are doing everything in their power to keep us away from the building. I'm making a note to have an investigation carried out later in Gildenstein. The interior of the building resembles a ruin; smoke constantly rises from the rubble. The number of victims is still unknown, but it feels like I'm stepping over another body every two meters. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Shadows of ash on the walls where a poor soul has burned. The fire was so hot that only the shadow of the person remains. The smell of burnt flesh is everywhere. Destroyed machinery and equipment are scattered about. Small fires are still burning here and there; fire crews are already dealing with them. Those fools destroyed a large portion of the evidence with their firefighting efforts. So far, everything points to an accident, but I'm not so naive as to believe that. Especially since Leon and Daley are here too. Hana: Hey you two, what's the Anti-Boomer Unit doing here? Leon: Well, isn't that little Hana? Hana: I'm not little... Daley: He's just picking on you, Hana. We always investigate whether Boomers were involved in incidents like this. Hana: So? Were Boomers responsible for this? Leon: Good question. The fact that the Gemon idiots aren't letting us into certain parts of the facility is suspicious. Leon has a valid point there, which doesn't make things any better considering the damage the explosion caused to the surrounding buildings. Hana: Okay, let's gather as much evidence as possible so we can get those bastards. Leon: Sure, if a few suits lose their heads because of it, I'm in. Daley: I heard Genom is supposed to hold a press conference in an hour. Hana: Interesting, I'll check it out. Thanks for the info, Daley. Daley: You're welcome, Hana. Meanwhile. Priss: Linna, what's wrong? Don't dawdle. I have a performance later. Linna: Ahh, sorry Priss... That was Irene, i think. Priss: Irene? Linna: I know her from one of my fitness classes. Her husband works at the facility that exploded two days ago. She still hasn't heard from him. Priss: She didn't look very well. Maybe we should go and see her. Linna: Yeah, you might be right. Priss and Linna follow Irene, who's on her way to the press conference. I have to hurry, or I'll be late. I hope I get some new information about Roy's whereabouts today. When I arrive, the conference is already over. What am I going to do? Roy, where are you? What am I going to do without you? I fight back my tears; I've already cried so much in the last two days. Just then, I see Roy's supervisor, Mr. Masion. Maybe he can tell me something. I approach him and confront him. Irene: Mr. Masion? I'm Irene Chang, Roy Chang's wife. He was at the facility when the accident happened. Can... can you tell me if he's still alive? Brian: I'm sorry, I don't know who you mean. Irene: But you must know him. Roy always talked about you. Brian: You're wasting my time. Get out of my way. Irene: But... I grab his arm to stop him from leaving. The moment I touch his arm, someone punches me in the face. The force of the blow knocks me to the ground; my head is pounding. When I come to my senses, I'm lying face down on the floor, staring into the coldest pair of eyes I've ever seen. ???: Didn't you understand him? You little bitch. The woman looks down at me, tears streaming down my face. A new pain shoots through me as she grabs my hair and pulls me up. God... Priss: Hey, whore, go after someone who can fight back! ???: Then come if you dare. I need to buy Linna some time so she can get Irene away from here. Linna: Irene, are you hurt? I rush at her and attack. Damn, she's fast; she easily dodges my attacks. But not with me. I'll finish you off. My punch lands on her nose. She catches it effortlessly mid-movement and holds my fist in her hand. Her laughter sends a shiver down my spine, then she squeezes. I feel like she's breaking my hand as her other arm shoots out and grabs my throat. She's cutting off my air; my lungs are burning, and I can barely keep my eyes open... Daley was right; there really was a press conference, but once again, it was just corporate drivel. Then a scream cuts through the silence. A woman in a black dress has just knocked another woman to the ground, and two others rush to her aid. I have to intervene; I draw my pistol and fire a warning shot.
