ARACHNE – THE SILKEN HUNTRESS

🌿 Habitat:

Dense forests, jungles, caves, swamps, abandoned ruins, and underground settlements. Their preferred habitat depends on the particular spider subspecies.

🍖 Diet:

Primarily carnivorous. Their prey ranges from insects and small rodents to larger mammals. Some subspecies can also consume plant-based food or ordinary human meals.

• Detection of even the slightest vibrations
• Skilled trap construction and exceptional camouflage
• High mobility and quick reflexes

🕷️ Social Behavior:

Species-dependent – solitary, group-living, or communal.

An Arachne's social behavior depends on her spider subspecies. While Black Widow Arachne are predominantly solitary, other subspecies may form family groups or larger colonies.

Particularly social Arachne can establish permanent settlements with their own hierarchies, traditions, and rules. Some of these communities are famous for their intricate silk structures and their trade in valuable spider silk fabrics.

💜 Behavior:

Arachne are considered intelligent, patient, and adaptable. Their temperament varies depending on their subspecies and individual personality. Some are curious and playful, while others are shy, territorial, or extremely aggressive.

Not every Arachne considers humans enemies. Some avoid contact, while others develop peaceful relationships with humans and even engage in trade.

Black Widow Arachne, in particular, are known for being extremely confident, dominant, and seductive. They love taking control and know exactly how to wrap a man around their little finger – or tie him up with a little silk instead. Anyone who joins their playful games shouldn't be surprised when the lady herself decides when the fun is over. 😏

✨ Special Characteristics:

An Arachne's human upper body transitions at the hips into a large spider body with eight legs.

Coloration, body size, venom potency, hairiness, and physical abilities are largely determined by their spider subspecies.

This creates an extraordinary variety of Arachne, ranging from small, playful Jumping Spider Arachne to massive Tarantula Arachne and highly venomous Black Widows.

Their spider silk is not used exclusively for hunting. Some subspecies use it to create clothing, construct their homes, or build impressive underground silk cities.
