A question

Why do people hide thier prompts? Is it a originality thing, a promotion thing, or some other reason. I have learned so much reading other people's prompts.

Honestly, it’s a mix of all of that. Some people treat the prompt like part of the work. They spent a while tuning it, and they’d rather not have the exact same image show up five minutes later. Others are using it for commissions or prints, so the method is part of what they’re selling. And some just don’t feel like sharing — no deeper reason than that. That said, you’re right that reading other people’s prompts is one of the fastest ways to learn. A lot of the useful stuff on here only spreads because someone left the prompt up. Both are fine. Sharing is appreciated when someone’s comfortable with it, but nobody’s required to. If a post doesn’t include one, it’s usually not personal. You’re always free to ask. Sometimes the person will share it, sometimes they won’t. If they say no, that’s just something you take on the chin — you can’t really force anyone to hand over their prompt. Same goes the other way: respect people’s choices and privacy, and you’ll get the same in return.👍

I hide my prompts when there's a lot of images in a post that were enhanced using the HD Enhance Face tool, because it only keeps the prompt for the face. I also hide them when I work with someone else's OC who doesn't want to share the prompt for their OC.

I've wondered this myself,

It’s simply to prevent others from just using the work. If you need anything, just ask.
