The Alliance cargo transport Meridian carries a crew of 175 humans and 100 robots. Of the ship’s robot complement, there are two mischievous females: Cammie, a Red Delta engineering maintenance worker, and Philly, a White Gamma engineering data entry specialist. The two robots have served on the Meridian for two solar-years and regard themselves as best friends. They enjoy teasing male human crew members by acting flirty and wiggling their metallic backsides. Whenever they do or see something that tickles them, they make an interesting noise. It’s taken some time to interpret, but it’s simple: They’re giggling!
