Officer Vanessa Reed was making her evening rounds when she stopped at Marcus's cell, an inmate known for being unusually observant and difficult to intimidate. She had developed a habit of lingering a little longer than necessary during her conversations with him, something she knew was against prison regulations.

He was a kingpin behind bars, with access to all kinds of illegal contraband, items that would have landed most inmates in solitary confinement.

That evening, Marcus returned to his cell and found something unusual: Vanessa standing inside. Distracted by the scent of his cologne, she barely noticed him pull out his phone and snap a picture. When she finally looked up, her own image appeared on his screen. In that instant, she realized he had captured something that could jeopardize her entire career.

Marcus grinned.

"Interesting little secret you've got there, Officer."

Vanessa quickly covered herself. "Mind your business, Marcus."

"Gladly. But I think we can help each other."

She narrowed her eyes. "What exactly are you suggesting?"

Marcus leaned against the wall, looking entirely too pleased with himself.

Vanessa's expression hardened. "You wouldn't dare."

"Try me!" he said.
