Frieren's education
The snow had sealed the mountain pass for weeks, and now it showed no signs of relenting. Two full months of unrelenting white isolation in the remote wooden cabin. Frieren, the ancient elf mage, had initially viewed the situation with her usual calm detachment—plenty of time to study the rare grimoires her new traveling companion had brought. But study sessions had a way of evolving.
His name was Kael, a tall, broad-shouldered human sorcerer with deep brown skin and a quiet intensity that intrigued her. He traded knowledge freely, with Frieren in a unique manner. Grimoires for sex. Daily.
When the pass finally cleared, Frieren’s satchel was heavy with copied grimoires and her body carried the pleasant ache of daily use. She paused at the cabin door, glancing back at Kael with a thoughtful expression.
“An acceptable use of two months,” she said, almost clinically. Then, softer: “We should become snowed in again sometime.”
Kael chuckled, pulling her into one last deep kiss before she stepped out into the melting snow, already wondering which spell she would trade for tomorrow’s pleasure.
