My mother died when I was very little so I have no memories of her. I was raised by my father who taught me everything he knew about martial arts and life. He was a single father and a well respected leader of the community, so the only way he knew of raising me was through martial arts and discipline” - “There is no training the body without training the mind!!” He used to say. - “Get up on those books and read to me. Keep your balance AND DON’T DROP THE WATER!!!!!” Madame Li laughs. - “Those were his favorite words for me: Higher! Faster! Higher! Faster! — AGAIN!!” - “I never though he was being to harsh, I knew he was preparing me. - “I told the whole village I was gonna be the greatest warrior who ever lived. I told them they were looking at a legend (smiles) they all laughed and cheered me up. (Li takes a pause) “This little skinny girl… I’ll show them all” I thought. Detective Pearl has been listening closely. Li is lost in her memories. - “My village was very prosperous town. Soil was rich and the people were hard working folk. And like many places like that, mean people took advantage of all the riches the land has to offer. A group of ill-intentioned people were abusing the town, sucking on the people’s labor for their own benefit. My father was a big leader in the community and was fighting against them” - “One night, they broke into the house, I heard muffled voices and sounds, a struggle. I was scared. Then silence again. After a while I decided to go to my father’s room. (A pause) And that was the last time I saw him. I know Ankha isn't really my OC, but she still really wanted to join in on the fun! Sooo... I have to confess, I've never actually played D&D before. (I want to but I've got no other friends who are interested. 😭) I think I have a basic understanding of the rules, but I've got no idea what all the classes are you can pick from... 😅 So, here's what I've got for you: — Card Flinger Ankha — She is kind of like a thief or rogue, but instead of throwing knives, she throws cards. Her deck of cards consists of regular playing cards with extremely sharp edges and magically infused cards that can have all kinds of different effects when thrown. She has a really dark backstory, but she only ever drops hints about it when she gets really drunk. She hates cucumbers for some reason. — Shrine Maiden Tara — She basically acts like a white mage, meaning she specializes in healing spells and other support abilities. She differs in the fact that her magical powers are granted to her by a long forgotten deity who claims to be the Goddess of Love. Her powers grow stronger by performing acts of kindness, but this can also result in her going into heat. — Mini-boss Terror2 — Just your average mini-boss encounter at the end of a certain side quest given to you by one of the townsfolk. He may look pretty intimidating because of his size, but he's actually a big softy on the inside. After he is defeated, he shrinks down to regular size and it is revealed that he was cursed by the main antagonist. He offers his help but it's up to the rest of the party if they want him to join or not. So everyone, what do you think?
