That's basically pirate-adjacent, minus the boat." Erin slumped back, muttering, but her grin didn't fully fade — an axe-swinger wasn't the worst consolation prize. "What's wrong with that?" "Nothing's wrong with it," Isla managed between giggles, "it's just — it's really not you, Amelia." "I could be a paladin!" Amelia insisted, though the stammer undercut her a little. "I can be brave when it matters. Okay yeah I get it, shields and swords — but looking after people... that's a me thing!" Erin, still grinning, threw an arm around her shoulders. "Sure it is, Sir Amelia." They settled eventually, dice sorted, character sheets smoothed flat, and the laughter faded into the easy quiet of a plan finally taking shape.
