This is the guide for you. We’ll go through both realistic and hentai prompts. We’ll have exact prompts and settings for all of these images:
Before diving into best prompts however, it’s important to understand which base model you’re working with when generating AI images — because everything else builds on top of it.
What are base models? Well, training an AI model is difficult and expensive. So when an organization creates a good model, everyone else can use that model as a starting point for their training.
Most of the models you see in popular use are either fine-tunes (they are made by fine-tuning an existing base model) or merges/mixes (they are made by merging 2 or more existing models together).
As of 2025, the most popular base models are:
- Stable Diffusion 1.5 – the original model that put AI generation on the map, created by StabilityAI. Likely the widest selection of models, but compared to other base models these will look a bit outdated today
- SDXL – next gen version of Stable Diffusion that brought the default resolution up from 512×512 to 1024×1024. Better realism and details.
- Pony Diffusion XL – model trained to create high quality furry images, but it turned out to be amazing at stylized human characters as well. Very high cohesion and good prompt accuracy.
- Illustrious – a model by Onoma Research that excels at high quality anime generation
- Flux – a model by Black Forest Labs, which comprises of ex-StabilityAI members. It is extremely good at realism.
In this guide, we’ll go through all of these base model categories, recommending models in each and showing the exact prompts to achieve high quality results in each of them,

Pony Diffusion XL
Pony Diffusion XL is a wonderful base model that is known for its high quality and being very accurate and responsive to prompts. It also has much more hentai knowledge than the other base models in this list. It also has quite a wide range, spanning from anime to semirealism.
Unlike other base models in which only the finetuned models are used (eg. Stable Diffusion 1.5 is used to train models but is not used very much by itself for image generation), both Pony and its finetunes enjoy a lot of popular usage.
For best results, you’ll have to add the recommended LoRAs. Pony works well when you add a bunch of LoRAs. I’ve noticed Pony can produce unpredictable results when you don’t use any LoRAs at all.
Since so many LoRAs are used, I’ve listed them under every image directly.
You’ll notice Pony models require the following tags to be added to the prompt and negative prompt: “score_9, score_8_up, score_7_up, score_6_up, score_5_up, score_4_up, ” and “score_6, score_5, score_4, “, respectively. This is a quirk that came from the training process.
