🔥🐺 HELLHOUND – THE GUARDIAN OF THE UNDERWORLD

🐺 Race: Hellhound (Infernal Hound / Cerberus)

🏛️ Origin:

Hellhounds are demonic predators originating from the Underworld and infernal dimensions. They are either naturally born in demonic realms or created through powerful summoning magic. For centuries, they have served demon lords, dark mages, and supernatural powers as guardians, hunters, and protectors.

⚠️ Danger Level: II–IV – From dangerous demonic predators to powerful infernal beasts capable of threatening experienced adventurers.

🌍 Habitat:

Demonic realms, volcanic regions, cursed forests, graveyards, ruins, underground caves, and places rich in demonic energy. Summoned Hellhounds may also inhabit the mortal world.

✨ Appearance:

Hellhounds resemble enormous wolves or dogs with muscular bodies, sharp claws, and powerful jaws. Their fur is usually black, dark gray, or ash-colored, with glowing red or orange eyes.

Some possess horns, bony growths, or burning patches of fur. Powerful specimens may release hellfire from their mouths, eyes, or gaps in their demonic armor.

📏 Size:

Ordinary Hellhounds stand 1–2 meters tall at the shoulder. Powerful individuals can grow considerably larger. Cerberuses are usually among the largest.

🧠 Intelligence:

Common Hellhounds possess animal intelligence, understand commands, and develop coordinated hunting strategies.

Powerful and ancient individuals may achieve higher intelligence, recognize deception, and make complex decisions independently.

🔥 Abilities:

All Hellhounds possess an innate connection to hellfire. They can surround themselves with demonic flames, breathe fire, or empower their bites with burning energy.

They also possess exceptional senses of smell, tremendous strength, high speed, and strong resistance to ordinary fire.

⚔️ Combat Behavior:

Hellhounds attack using teeth, claws, and hellfire.

Solitary hunters relentlessly track prey and launch surprise attacks. Packs surround enemies, isolate weaker targets, and coordinate their strikes.

Intelligent Hellhounds can prepare elaborate ambushes.

🛡️ Weaknesses:

Holy magic and consecrated weapons are particularly effective against Hellhounds.

Ordinary weapons can also injure them, although powerful individuals possess considerable demonic resilience.

🐾 Social Behavior:

Depending on subspecies, Hellhounds live alone, in pairs, or in packs.

Packs are usually led by exceptionally strong or intelligent individuals and follow clear hierarchies.

🔮 Summoning:

Mages can create Hellhounds through demonic rituals or summon them from their native dimensions.

Summoned individuals often serve as guardians or combat companions. However, loyalty is never guaranteed.

Powerful Hellhounds may challenge their summoner's authority.

🐣 Reproduction:

Naturally born Hellhounds reproduce within their home dimensions. Their offspring develop an affinity for hellfire at an early age.

Artificial Hellhounds are instead created through summoning rituals.

⏳ Lifespan:

Hellhounds are supernaturally long-lived. Powerful individuals may survive for centuries, depending on their demonic origins.

Powerful Hellhounds can sometimes form conscious alliances based on mutual respect, trust, or magical pacts.

Hellhounds can sense supernatural energies and trace certain souls over great distances.

Some relentlessly pursue prey or guard sacred places for generations.

Cerberuses symbolize the boundary between the living world and the Underworld in many cultures.
